Regional Commissioner Allowances
Regional commissioners receive different allowances added to their basic salary. The regional commissioner’s salary and roles in Kenya allowances, however, may vary depending on the responsibilities and the region they are accountable for.
If the regional commissioner’s salary and roles in Kenya are in the job groups R, S, and T according to the table above, here are the allowances they may receive:
- House allowance: Ksh. 50,000 to 80,000.
- Hardship allowance: Ksh. 38,100 to 60,000.
- Per Diem: Ksh. 14,000 to 22,000.
- Leave allowance: Once in a year.
- Filed service allowance: As from Ksh. 8,000.
- Monthly commuter allowance: Ksh. 3,000 to Ksh. 25,000.
